Wales Deaf Climate Conversations

BSL

What to expect

Climate Conversations are relaxed, in-person sessions bringing members of the Welsh deaf community together to talk about how climate change is already affecting everyday life.

These events focus on real experiences – what people are noticing, what’s becoming harder, and what could help communities adapt to a changing climate. There are no lectures or technical talks, just open and welcoming conversations.

Your views will help make sure deaf community voices are included in shaping future climate action in Wales.

What will we talk about?

Each Climate Conversations event will focus on two key themes:

Housing

How extreme weather such as heatwaves, flooding and storms affect homes, comfort and safety.

Transport

How climate change impacts daily travel, including disrupted journeys and getting around safely in extreme weather.

Who can attend?

These sessions are open to members of the Welsh deaf community.

No knowledge about climate change is needed – just your experiences and ideas.
